Tourists arrivals roar in Sankhuwasabha district

One of the tourism destination of Nepal- Sankhuwasabha district saw higher numbers of tourists arrivals this year. The arrivals of internal and external tourist roared in Sankhuwasabha in the first three months of current fiscal year.
Coinciding the arrival of winter season, the number of the tourists visiting Makalu mountain, Arun valley, Makalu Barun parks, and Tamor and Kabeli increased significantly compared to the previous year.
Tourists visit Makalu Barun park for the study of biodiversity and Tamor and Kabeli for rafting. Dozens of tourists flocked in the district for rafting. Similarly, the tourists of America, France, and Nether land have arrived in the district to observe Makalu park area.
The arrivals of the tourists would hardly cross one hundred during past year. However, within the three months of current fiscal year, the arrival has climbed to three hundred.
Sankhuwasabha district is one of the major destination for the study of biodiversity in the country while Arun valley is famous as one of the valley situated at the lowest altitude in the world. Similarly Makalu is the fifth taller mountain of the world.
